Hi There! Thank you for visiting
our site. Let me tell you a little about who we are and what we do.
North OkaloosA Humane Society,
Inc. (NOAH), is a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization formed in
December of 2001. We began as a group of area residents concerned about
local animal overpopulation and needless euthanasia. All money raised is
used for animal care and treatment.
In July of 2001 we began handling
adoptions of the animals from the City of Crestview Animal Control
Facility. In February of 2002 we processed our 100th
adoption! And we are just getting started! We make sure that all animals
leaving that facility have been spayed or neutered, tested for feline
leukemia or heartworms, and vaccinated. By doing this we hope to reduce
the number of ‘unwanted’ pets born each year. If we can accumulate
enough $$$$$ we would like to expand the program to provide a low cost
spay/neuter program for the general public.
Adoption fees do not usually cover the
cost of these treatments so we spend a lot of time fund raising. We hold
twice yearly yard sales, and have done most of the usual fund raisers, pet
wash, bake sale, craft booths, you name it.
Check out the great pet beds
made by our volunteers that are available through this site.
That is a thumbnail of NOAH and our
goals, now check out our site and links, and please remember to
SPAY OR
NEUTER your pets.
